We formulated this serum for all skin types and tones and used Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR), a gentler, more stable for of retinoid that may be better tolerated by sensitive skin types than traditional retinol. However, we recommend a patch test and easing into use starting with 2-3 applications per week before building up to nightly use.

Retinoids are best used at night, as they can increase skin sensitivity to the sun.

This formula features a dual-retinoid system—combining traditional Retinol with Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR)—for both immediate and long-term benefits with minimized irritation. Plus, soothing botanicals like turmeric, fermented papaya, and guava extract help balance and nourish the skin.

To minimize the risk of irritation, avoid layering this serum with other potent actives like AHAs, BHAs, or Vitamin C. If incorporating those ingredients into your routine, we recommend alternating days or applying them at different times—such as using the Soursop Vitamin C Serum in the morning and Good Youth Serum at night.
