Chewy Cherry and White Chocolate Cookies

Dried cherries and white chocolate could be one of the most delicious and decadent pairings.

The cherries are tart and chewy which balances nicely with something sweet, like creamy chunks of white chocolate. You can't go wrong with a classic chocolate chip cookie, but this version delivers extra texture and flavor that makes for a delicious and slightly more elevated bite.

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, room temp
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- One large egg, beaten
- One teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cups dried cherries

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, add softened and melted butter, then stir in sugar. Add the egg and vanilla and mix until well incorporated. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add the dry ingredients into the wet and mix until all the ingredients have combined and formed a dough. Fold in white chocolate and cherries.
