Maple Almond Butter

Get creamy maple almond butter in minutes with your blender or food processor.

Store-bought almond butters are usually hit or miss when it comes to the quality of ingredients.

Making your own allows you to use the best quality ingredients, and adjust the flavor to your taste. Pair it with some fruit for a healthy snack, smear it across some fresh bread, or, our favorite, add it to your favorite smoothie (we love our Tropical Post-Workout Smoothie. Store it in an air-tight container in the fridge and enjoy to the last scoop.

Ingredients

- 4 cups raw almonds
- 2-4 tbsp avocado oil
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Lay raw almonds out onto a prepared sheet pan—roast at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

In a blender or food processor, add avocado oil and cooled roasted almonds. Blend, making sure to scrape sides or use a stick to help almonds break down. Be patient, it takes time (at least 10 minutes). If your blender gets warm, pause and then resume when it cools down. Once blended and smooth, add in vanilla, syrup and salt. Blend to incorporate. Place creamy maple almond butter in a mason jar or airtight container until ready to use.
