Cast Iron Charred Cabbage with Miso Honey Sauce
Crisp edges and a buttery miso glaze for your holiday sides line up.
Meet your new favorite holiday side: beautifully charred cabbage drizzled with a glossy miso-honey sauce.

Step 1
Heat olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cabbage wedges and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until charred and slightly softened.
Step 2
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and shallot and cook until fragrant. Whisk in the honey, miso paste, and mirin, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened.
Step 3
For the Miso Honey Sauce: Stir all ingredients together in a small saucepan and simmer over medium-high heat. Allow to cool slightly.
Step 4
Drizzle the Miso Honey Sauce over the charred cabbage and serve warm.
