Chocolate Orange Iced Coffee

Dark chocolate and orange is a classic pairing you may be familiar with, which is why it's the ideal combination to elevate your morning coffee or afternoon pick-me-up.

We were inspired to give this recipe a try given the semisweet chocolate tasting note of our Sweet July House Blend Coffee, but the delicious flavor exceeded even our expectations. It's a creamy, citrusy coffee beverage that you'll want to enjoy over and over.

Ingredients

- 8 oz Sweet July House Blend Coffee, cooled
- 2 tbsp simple syrup
- 1 tbsp fresh orange juice
- 3 oz half and half
- 1 tbsp dark chocolate sauce
- Whipped cream, garnish
- Orange slice, garnish
- Chocolate shavings (optional), garnish

Instructions

step 1

Add the coffee, simple syrup and dark chocolate sauce to a large glass. Stir to combine, then fill with ice.

step 2

In a separate cup, combine the half and half and fresh orange juice. Aerate using a frother until the mixture doubles in size.

step 3

Pour on top of the coffee mixture and gently stir to combine. If desired, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. If you’re feeling extra fancy, garnish with a slice of orange dipped in melted dark chocolate.
